Leblanc Criminally Responsible And Fit To Stand Trial

The man accused of vandalizing the St. George RCMP Station has been found criminally responsible and fit to stand trial.
Following a 30-day psychiatric assessment at the Restigouche Hospital, Judge Henrick Tonning adjourned the proceedings to give Nolan Leblanc time to apply for legal council.
The 27-year-old is charged with break and enter, as well as three counts of mischief, all in relation to vandalizing the police station, inside and out, back on June 17th.
The destruction included office and computer equipment, windows, police cruisers, and a private vehicle.
The Crown objected to LeBlanc’s release at this time.
He heads back to St. Stephen Provincial Court on August 11th.
