It may be safe from closure — but the Charlotte County Hospital isn’t safe from cutbacks.
So says John Gardner with the Concerned Citizens of Charlotte County group, “I feel that it (the Charlotte County Hospital) is safe from closure, and that’s one of the areas where I think there’s been a bit on controversy.”
MLA John Ames stated at the Strategic Program Review meeting in St. Stephen the Hospital would not be closing as part of the upcoming budget.
Gardner says he is still concerned whether we can keep the departments and services that we have, and if the province does cut services, will it be an expense on the overall budget.
The provincial budget comes down on February 2nd.
