Quispamsis Mayor Murray Driscoll will have some competition in the May municipal election.
Town Councillor Gary Clark, who has served two terms, has announced his intent to run against him.
Driscoll is finishing up his second term as Mayor. He was first elected in 2001 and previously served two terms as Deputy Mayor.
