March Will Be More Lion Than Lamb

The weather this month will be more lion than lamb.

That sad news from Meteorologist Doug Gilham of the Weather Network who tells us they are forecasting above average precipitation and an active storm track in the second half of March and the first half of April.

He says the worry is that if one or two of those storms take a more northerly tract putting you into a warm sector and you get rain with all the snow and ice we have since flooding is a major concern in the back of our minds as we head towards spring.

Gilham says Saint John is having the second snowiest winter on record with the first being in 1962-63 where more than 427 centimetres of snow fell.
