Blue boxes have returned to Millidgeville. New ones are now set up at 100 Boar’s Head Road.
Residents have not had local access since the Superstore set were removed to make way for construction of the new Somerset Liquor store.
Brenda MacCallum of Fundy Regional Solid Waste Commission says the more people recycle the more money the City of Saint John saves.
Within the city, over 4,500 tonnes of material is recycled at the recycling depots every year.
If it was tossed in the garbage, it would cost the City $486,000 in landfill tip fees.
The of Town of Rothesay’s new curbside recycling program did its first run yesterday with 1 ton of paper and 1 ton of plastic collected and taken to Crane Mountain.
