There are 10 new bursaries available for students heading into their first year of post secondary education in New Brunswick.
They are each worth $1,000 and will be given to students studying right here in the province.
The bursaries are part of the new Opportunities NB Connects outreach initiative.
It is designed to connect opportunities, promote the province, and mentor young entrepreneurs and students.
Minister responsible for Opportunities NB Rick Doucet says having a skilled workforce is fundamental to New Brunswick’s future growth and prosperity.
He adds the province isn’t necessarily facing a lack of job, but a skills gap for the jobs that do exist.
