In the NHL, Steven Stamkos scored two goals and added one assist as Tampa Bay downs the Canadiens 4-2…..The Lightning have won all four of their games with Montreal this season…..The Leafs lost to Edmonton 4-1……Los Angeles climbed back into the second and final Western Conference wild card playoff spot with a 1-0 win over Arizona as Jonathon Quick gets the shutout and Washington got by Buffalo in a shootout 4-3.

The Rangers announcing former Saint John Flame Martin St. Louis will be out for 10 to 14 days with an injured knee.

In the NBA, Toronto rebounded with a 117-98 win over Indiana….The Raptors have only won 3 of their past 13 games…..Dwyane Wade scored 32 points as Miami beats Cleveland 106-92. LeBron James scored 26 points against his former team.

Former New England Patriots defensive lineman Vince Wilfork announcing he will sign a two year deal with the Houston Texans.

Canada’s Jennifer Jones won twice yesterday to move into a first place tie at the women’s world curling championship and this morning beat the U.S. 10-2.
