New School Gets Approved

A new school on the west side, to replace Seawwod, Havelock and St. Patrick’s, has been approved unanimously by the Anglophone South District Education Council.

It will be up to the province to find a location.

School District Superintendent Zoe Watson says the new school to accomodate 470 students will have windows you can open, natural lighting, 19 regular classrooms, hardwood floors and even a recycling room.

Watson says if space is limited, the school will have to be three stories high instead of two.

The District Education Council would like it to be located in the central part of the west side.
