n the NFL, the Oakland Raiders won their first game of the season and broke a 16 game losing streak by upending the Kansas City Chiefs 24-20.

Five Saint John Sea Dogs have been named to the Central Scouting Service’s Preliminary 2015 November Players to Watch list. Defencemen Jakub Zboril and Thomas Chabot along with forwards Adam Marsh, Nathan Noel and Samuel Dove-McFalls are included on the list of players eligible for selection in the 2015 NHL Draft. Zboril, who’s 17, has been given an ‘A’ rating, which means he is viewed as a potential first-round draft pick.

In the NHL, Max Pacioretty scored two goals as Montreal beats St. Louis 4-1…..James Van Reimsdyk also scoring two goals as the Leafs get by Tampa Bay 5-2……Patrick Kane getting the winner as Chicago edges Calgary 4-3…..Tomas Tatar got two goals as Detroit downs Winnipeg 4-3…..Former Sea Dog Jonathon Huberdeau had two assists in Florida’s 3-2 win in a shootout over San Jose….Elsewhere, it was Los Angeles 3 Carolina 2….Anaheim 4 Vancouver 3 (SO)…..Washington 3 Colorado 2…..Dallas 3 Arizona 1…..Ottawa 3 Nashville 2 and Minnesota 3 Philadelphia 2

The Anaheim Ducks traded defenseman Bryan Allen to the Montreal Canadiens for forward Rene Bourque.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office has filed a felony case against Los Angeles Kings defenseman Slava Voynov stemming from his arrest on suspicion of domestic violence.
