The fourth candidate to announce for the mayoralty in Saint John says his many years in business has prepared him well for the job.
Howard Yeomans, who lives in Millidgeville, says the city is not only financially burdened by declining population but also by having to service an area that’s larger than Moncton and Fredericton combined. Having said that, Yeomans argues Saint John has loads of potential.
Yeomans says the mayor has to be selling the city at every opportunity and be a co-ordinator by utilising the skills of other people for the betterment of the city.
He says no one person can come in and fix things but can utilise the skills of people who know more than the mayor does
