David Thompson of the Fundy Environmental Research and Restoration organization has concerns surrounding the Liberal government’s new water strategy process.
Thompson says environmental groups in the province feel there’s a real need for a water quality protection plan, which assures the adequacy of water and the pureness of water.
Thompson says the province’s water strategy does not address water quality and protection of the future.
He says it seems to be a strategy to allocate the uses of water.
Thompson says public sessions on the strategy are taking place during inconvenient times and without a lot of people knowing about them.
