Premier Brian Gallant is rejecting criticism the provincial government didn’t do enough to help Sussex in the wake of the decision to close the Picadilly potash mine.
Besides cabinet ministers, Gallant says people from Opportunities NB and Post Secondary, Training and Labour were dispatched to Sussex in the immediate aftermath with job fairs organised.
Gallant says if the opposition Conservatives don’t believe him, they can speak to Sussex Mayor Marc Thorne.
