It appears most members of Common Council will be seeking re-election but Susan Fullerton has gone on social media to announce she will not be running for another term in Ward 2.
Ray Strowbridge says he will and ispleased public satisfaction with the job Council is doing according to latest polling by Corporate Research Associates is well over 50 per cent even though he would like to see it aqround 80 or 90 per cent. Strowbridge says he views running for public office as the same as a job interview.
David Merrithew is also looking for a second term in Ward 4.
Former Mayor Shirley McAlary is running for Councillor at Large and is being challenged by Phil Comeau, who ran for the provincial NDP in Saint John East.
John MacKenzie will be seeking re-election in Ward 2 which is the same ward represented by Fullerton.
Donna Reardon and Gerry Lowe have both said they plan on running again even though they haven’t filed their nomination papers yet.
