Premier Brian Gallant coming under fire again in the Legislature over the state of the provincial economy.
This time, by the Conservative M-L-A for New Maryland-Sunbury Jeff Carr.
Carr says New Brunswick has the highest youth unemployment rate in the nation with 38,000 citizens out of work.
He calls it an “economic emergency”.
Provincial Finance Minister Roger Melanson says it’s not as if the provincial economy was going great guns when the Conservatives held the reins of power.
Gallant says the Conservatives oppose raising the minimum wage, spending on infrastructure to create employment and taxing the richest 1 per cent in the province more.
