Water Levels In Some Areas In N.B. To Near Flood Stage This Weekend

A flood watch has been issued by River Watch warning that water levels in Clair, Baker-Brook, Jemseg and Nashwaak are expected to near flood stage this weekend.

As well, Fredericton and Maugerville will reach advisory stage on Sunday and Edmunston and Saint-Hilaire will reach watch stage on Sunday.

River Watch says the ice at Durham Bridge on the Nashwaak River is abou two kilometres in length and water levels are at watch stage though the ice jam isn’t in place anymore.

If you live or work in areas that are prone to flooding you’re asked to stay aware and take precautions to keep your home and things safe.
