We asked Mayor Mel Norton tells CHSJ News what he saw as the biggest wins and biggest challenges of 2014.
According to Norton, the two biggest wins for this municipality last year were both water-related: namely, the completion of Harbour Cleanup and the selection of three big players to build our new clean drinking water facility. In terms of challenges we faced in the past year, Norton says budgeting is always an issue as is regional collaboration.
Norton says looking at questions of regional collaboration represents a lot of potential change, but it’s something we need to do if we want to build a better city.
