Blacks Mayor Grateful For Habitat Projects

Habitat For Humanity answering the call to Blacks Harbour for new housing.

Two local families will get the opportunity to purchase brand new, two-bedroom homes, at affordable rates.

Mayor Terry James says they are very excited and grateful to be chosen. She tells us new housing stock is always a bonus for any community, but Blacks Harbour is currently challenged for accomodations.

James says the houses will arrive in June, and will be placed on two lots the Village will have prepared.

She says there will be lots of community partnership involved, including students from Blacks Harbour School and Fundy High School helping with the landscaping process.

If you, or someone you know, is interested in one of the homes, contact Blacks Harbour CAO Heather Chase at (506) 456-4870.
