Town Of Quispamsis Joins Climate Change and Energy Initiative

Quispamsis is the latest town in the province to join the Climate Change and Energy Initiative led by the Union of Municipalities of New Brunswick.

Councillor Emil Olsen calls it a really positive movement that reduces our carbon footprint.

Olsen says the next step of the initiative is the get the community involved in a plan for sustainable energy and respecting the environment.

He says an open house will be held in the near future to allow the public to have their input.

Olsen says the town would like to see residents using the bus and walking more.

Quispamsis is well known for its energy management initiatives, which include the use of efficient light bulbs, electric vehicles and various improvements to their walking trails and public transit.
