No plea yet in the RCMP Labour Code Charges case as one month adjournment is granted.
However, Crown lawyer Paul Adams told Judge Troy Sweet progress was being made in ongoing negotations.
Defense Lawyer Ian Carter says there is a significant amount of material to go through during these meetings.
“We’re working at narrowing the issues and then to come back and be in a position to tell the Court what we’re doing at the next appearance,” says Carter.
That next appearance is the afternoon of May 12th, when the Defense is expected to enter a plea.
The RCMP is facing four charges of violating Canada Labour Code, each with a maximum fine of $1 million in connection with the June 4th shootings.
