The town of Quispamsis writing a letter to the Anglophone South School District encouraging the reinstatement of school bus service within a 1.5km radius of schools for elementary students.
Shannon Naves has a child at Lakefield Elementary, she says it’s not safe for kids that young to be walking to school.
The school district planned to enforce a rule that says children within 2.4 km range of Quispamsis and Lakefield Elementary must walk. The district did change this to 1.5 km, but will only provide the service until January.
