An early morning blaze in Perth-Andover causing major damage to the McPhail Insurance building. The forced up to eight tenants from apartments in the building and damaged a business on the ground floor.
All the displaced people were able to stay temporarily with friends or relatives but disaster volunteers from the Red Cross in Perth-Andover want to hear from anyone that need clothing, food and somewhere to stay over the holiday weekend.
Firefighters from Perth-Andover got some help from other crews who came from at least five neighbouring communities to battle the blaze at 756 Perth Main Street.
