A couple of weeks ago the Federal International Trade Minister Francois-Phillipe Champagne came to Saint John to talk about trade and collaboration.
Champagne and Treasury Board president Roger Melanson signed a letter of intent.
We asked Minister Champagne what that means exactly.
He tells us it’s to make sure they co-ordinate better because that is what people expect from government that they work together to empower the people to enter into global supply chains.
Melanson says you have to make sure you are always efficient and things are co-ordinated.
He says both levels of government have programs to help the business community get to markets faster so they are not wasting time on red tape.
