A Quispamsis teen is attending the Junior Pam Games in Argentina next month to compete in karate.

He is a member of Team New Brunswick and Team Canada.
Alec Hocquard has been involved in competitive karate for the last three years.
He tells us he likes it because it gives him confidence in himself and also discipline and self-control.

Alec is in Bathurst training this week and he calls it a tough grind because they always want to push it further saying they spend about 5 hours training a day.
