Adjournment For Suspended NB Priest Accused Of Sex Offences

MONCTON, N.B. – A suspended Roman Catholic priest will return to court in December to face numerous sex offences against boys.

In Moncton court, the defence lawyer for 71-year-old Yvon Arsenault asked the judge for an adjournment.

A preliminary inquiry will now take place on December 9th.

Arsenault faces a total of 16 offences and five complainants are involved.

Arsenault is accused of committing sex offences in various New Brunswick communities dating back to the early 1970s.
