A number of laser bursts aimed at an Air Canada Jazz flight over Moncton were reported to an online database run by Nav Canada.
The pilots of the August 30th flight from Montreal to Charlottetown reported five to six three second laser bursts that appeared to come from downtown Moncton.
The report noted that not further action was required.
However, Transport Canada launched a social media campaign in May warning about the dangers of shining lasers at aircraft including temporary blindness.
If caught and convicted, a person could face up to five years in jail and $100,000 in fines.
