Groups of first year university students are uptown fundraising for this year’s Shinerama.
UNBSJ Shinerama Chair Jayme Dixon says the goal is to raise $4,000 dollars here in Saint John.
The goal across Canada is to raise $1 million dollars.
Dixon says the purpose of Shinerama is to raise money for cystic fibrosis research and awareness.
She says students are doing a variety of activities to raise money including shining shoes, singing and they’re also getting cars who pass by to honk.
