Amara Hair Studio & Spa opened its doors on September 1, 2025, and in a short time, it has truly transformed into so much more than just a salon and spa. What started as a new business has quickly become a space built on passion, community, and connection.
From the moment you walk in, there’s a feeling that’s hard to miss- warm, welcoming, and genuinely caring. Behind the scenes, that feeling comes from a team of over 40 staff members who are not only incredibly skilled but also respected, supported, and valued in their workplace. Amara is home to a wide range of talented professionals—Guest Care providers, hair stylists, aestheticians, medical aestheticians, medical foot care providers, registered massage therapists, cosmetic injectors, and more! Each focused on helping people feel confident, cared for, and proud of their self-image. It’s not just about services—it’s about how people feel when they arrive, during their stay, and when they leave.
What’s also inspiring is their commitment to supporting other local businesses. Their lounge features partnerships with names like Simply for Life, Bebe, Yip, Moosehead, Clearly Canadian, and so many more, creating a space that feels collaborative and community-driven. Amara also hosts an annual fundraiser for a chosen local charity, collects items via a month-long donation drive for the Red Cross, and much more.
And they’re not slowing down. Amara is expanding its service menu and professional retail offerings so guests can maintain the same level of care and confidence at home between visits. And there are even more upgrades and renovations happening throughout the next few months to provide Saint John with the wellness and care they deserve.

On May 29, Amara Hair Studio & Spa is proud to support Big Brothers Big Sisters Saint John as the chosen nonprofit charitable organization for A Black Tie Affair 2026. Entertainment includes Saint John’s own Frank James (acoustic opening), Theresa Malenfant & the Instigators (powerhouse blues band from New Brunswick) and headliner Asia & NuGruv (bringing irresistible energy to the dance floor from Nova Scotia). This event is being held at the Saint John Trade & Convention Centre. There’s also a 50/50 draw in support of Big Brothers Big Sisters Saint John.
