Another Blizzard On The Way To New Brunswick

Old Man Winter won’t be making a quiet exit.

There are blizzard warnings in effect for much of New Brunswick including Saint John, Moncton, Fredericton, and St. Stephen with total snowfall amounts of 20 to 30 centimetres possible.

Environment Canada meteorologist Jason Sheppard tells us the storm should begin around midnight or overnight with a few centimetres accumulating by dawn.

He says the winds will pick up throughout the morning and we’re looking at winds of 40 kilometres an hour gusting to 60, possibly 70 in some areas. Around the Moncton coastline we’ll see gusts around 80 km/hr.

He says combined with the snow that will lead to local whiteout conditions and blowing snow.

By Sunday evening the snow should taper off.
