Another Candidate For Leadership Of Provincial NDP

Jennifer McKenzie of St. Martins has tweeted her intention to seek the leadership of the provincial NDP. The official announcement will be made at 11:00 this morning in Fredericton.

McKenzie ran for the federal NDP in Fundy-Royal in the 2015 election that saw the Liberals and Prime Minister Trudeau come to power and she came in third.

Before moving to New Brunswick, McKenzie chaired the Ottawa Public School Board and also describes herself as a former high tech engineer.

Former Provincial NDP leader Dominic Cardy stepped down because of what he said was too much infighting and now works for the provincial Conservative party as a strategist.
