Another Stabbing Incident In Uptown Saint John

Saint John police had to deal with another stabbing incident on the weekend.

On Saturday, they responded to a stabbing on Union Street.

A 24-year-old man received minor stab wounds to his back and was treated and released from hospital.

Police say the victim refused to cooperate with the investigation, but officers spoke to witnesses and identified a suspect.

A 33-year-old man and officers had a foot chase and he was arrested as police say he tried to toss a knife.

He was also found carrying cocaine, hash and was on a suspended sentence.

The man is expected to appear in court today.

The same day, police responded to a call of a bleeding man walking along Charlotte Street.

Police say he refused to tell them anything, so paramedics bandaged him up and sent him on his way because he refused to go to a hospital.
