An inmate from the Atlantic Institution had to be taken to hospital after an assault at the maximum security federal institution.
Correctional Service Canada says the incident happened on Sunday morning.
The injured inmate was evaluated by staff members and then transported to hospital.
RCMP are investigating the incident.
