Attempted Bank Robbery In North End

City Police arresting a man shortly after an attempted robbery at the Royal Bank on Lansdowne Avenue in the north end. It was called around 10:30 this morning.

A man was seen running away from the bank towards Metcalf Street after passing a note to one of the tellers.

Police say he tried to steal a car but failed and and continued down towards the L-B-R.

An arrest was made a short time later at a nearby hotel after police discovered clothing that matched the description of what he was wearing when trying to rob the bank.

No one was injured.
