Environment Canada says in the wake of a trough of low pressure, northwest winds will usher in a cold air mass to the Maritimes.
Wind chill values are expected in the range of -35 to -40 overnight tonight and into Tuesday.
The national forecaster warning you to wear appropriate clothing, dress in layers, and make sure to cover your nose to protect it from the cold. If you get wet, change into dry clothing as soon as possible as you lose heat faster when you are wet.
