Better Quality Drinking Water For West Siders

West siders will be getting better quality drinking water, we are told by the city, with the commissioning of the new South Bay Wellfield as the primary source of water in that part of the city.

The official switch from surface water at Spruce Lake to ground water from the aquifer in South Bay began this week. The city calls it a major milestone in the safe drinking water project.

After four years of successful ground water exploration and testing with two years of wellfield development, the City has commissioned the new South Bay Wellfield as the primary source of drinking water for the west side.
