Canada 150 Will Leave An Artistic Legacy At Market Square

Canada 150 celebrations will leave a permanent artistic mark on many areas of Market Square.

Deanna Musgrave is currently creating a mural in the pedway which includes the gray jay-Canada’s national bird among other themes.

We asked Stephany Peterson of the North Market Wharf Cultural Association how Deanna came to be chosen for this project.

She says they wanted the artist to be come who identifies with Saint John and who also lives here, works here and plays here so Deanna was an obvious choice.

Another art project will feature wooden sculptures of the gray jays being suspended from the atrium at Market Square.
