With the provincial election just over two months away, the Saint John Region Chamber of Commerce has released four key priorities. They include funding for the proposed barge terminal project at the Spruce Lake Industrial Park, support for the proposed Energy East pipeline and shale gas development along with reducing the provincial deficit.
Chamber Chair Andy Lodge tells CHSJ News small and medium sized businesses can’t afford to see their costs rise because of government. One concern is a proposed payroll tax to pay for a portion of the new provincial drug plan.
