The season of rockin’ around the Christmas tree has come and gone and you may now be thinking about how to get rid of it.
If you’re in Saint John you can drop off your tree at one of the designated sites until January 15. There’s the Charles Gorman Arena and Crescent Valley in the north end, at the Peter Murray or Hilton Belyea Arena on the west side, at the Forest Hills Ball Field on the east side, or the Old Sugar Refinery in the south end.
If you can’t bring your tree to a designated site, the city says to remove all decorations and trim and you can compost your tree.
In Quispamsis you can drop it off at 11 Recreation Centre Road or 18 Municipal Drive and trees have to be dropped off on or before January 8. In Rothesay, it’s a one-day drop-off on January 6 and you can either go to the Bill McGuire Centre parking lot, the East-Riverside Kingshurt Park, the Rothesay Arena, or the Wells Recreation Park.
