The City’s audited financial statements have been approved and it looks like Saint John is operating at a bit of a surplus for 2013.
According to common councillor David Merrithew, we’re the surplus in 2013 mainly because employment with the city isn’t what it used to be. Merrithew says they’re happy with the numbers.
The city is also putting some money forward for the 2014 plowing budget, which is poised to be a tough one.
