Coding? What’s that?
It describes computer programming and the language used to write instructions for computers.
Owner of Coding Camps Canada Jeff Hughes says it was used by the around 3000 kids who took part in Coding Camps in the past year, “Our initial camps are all about introducing these concepts and hopefully sparking an interest that will give them a desire to pursue that further, but there is definitely long term opportunities for them.”
Hughes says there is major job demand for people with these types of skills.
He says most kids these days spend a lot of time on computers and the interest comes from the games they are playing, including Minecraft.
