Common Councillor Gerry Lowe says it will be interesting to find out what steps City Manager Jeff Trail has in mind to deal with the city’s 2.8 million dollar deficit.
During the deliberations for this year’s budget, Lowe says he was left with the impression that city departments were all tapped out and he wouldn’t like to see any cuts in paving of city streets.
Lowe also is concerned with the rise in water rates and how people in the city who are struggling financially will be able to cope with the tax rate being so high.
