Saint John Common Council is sending a letter to TransCanada Corp showing its support for the Energy East Pipeline project.
There has been a great deal of speculation since the proponent asked the National Energy Board for a 30 day hold on its application.
Councillor Greg Norton says the company needs to know how important this is to Saint John.
However, Councillor Donna Reardon said until she knew what TransCanada was bringing to the table for Saint John, such as two cents per barrell of oil etc. she wouldn’t be able to support it.
