Community Foundation Awards $500K In Grants

Nearly two dozen charities in Greater Saint John are splitting more than half-a-million dollars.

It’s coming from The Community Foundation through its Smart and Caring Grant Cycle.

A total of 26 projects by 22 different charities have received funding ranging from $3,000 to $25,000.

The grants are for local projects that strive to ensure a sustainable future and improve the quality of life.

The Resource Centre for Youth has received $50,000 for two projects, BGC Greater Saint John is getting $40,000 for a pair of projects, the Saint John Learning Exchange will receive nearly $35,000 for two projects, and NB COPES will get close to $20,000 for two projects.

Other recipients include the Sophia Recovery Centre, Lily Lake Pavillion, the Crescent Valley Resource Centre, the Saint John Jewish Historical Museum, and Imperial Theatre.
