Conservatives Don’t Want NB Liquor To Sell Marijuana

Gagetown-Petitcodiac MLA Ross Wetmore has unveiled the provincial Conservative party’s report on marijuana.

Wetmore says the Opposition supports a private model of distribution instead of NB Liquor selling marijuana with the government’s role focused on education and public safety rather than retail sales.

Recommendations from the report include immediate research on the effects cannabis has on the brains of young users, development of an education program for harm reduction and decriminalization of recreational marijuana.
