Cruise Ship Season Kicks Off In Saint John

Saint John’s first cruise ship of the season has pulled into port early this morning.

The Marina with Oceania cruise lines arrived at 4:15 AM. Passengers will have a full day to explore Saint John, with the ship departing at 4 PM.

It’s expected to be a busy season this year for both the port and Saint John’s uptown.

When the last ship departs on October 29th, a total of 82 cruise ships will have visited Port Saint John,

Betty MacMillan, Director of Cruise Development says they are anticipating more than 203,000 passengers and 46,000 crew during the season.
