Educational workers in New Brunswick are getting into the Christmas spirit with support for food programs.
CUPE Local 2745 has made a donation of $35,000 divided between the seven school districts, to ensure children are fed.
President Theresa McAllister says nearly 22 per cent of the children in the province live in poverty.
According to the Hunger Count 2021, over 20,000 visits to food banks were reported, and over 6500 of them involved children.
