Curbside Flood Debris Pickup For Saint John Residents

Saint John residents affected by the flood will be provided with a special pick up schedule.

Collections will happen Thursday May 9th, Tuesday May 14th and Thursday May 16th. Residents are asked to have items out to the curb by 7:30 AM on those mornings.

They are also asked to sort items into four piles: flood debris, bagged garbage, appliances (white goods), and sandbags.

Due to the strong potential of contamination, sandbags must be disposed of as flood-related debris.

Wooden pallets will be made available to make sandbag collection easier. Those needing a pallet can call the City. Pallets can hold up to 50 sandbags at a time.

Pick up for regular garbage and compost collection will remain on the regular schedule.
