**Updated at 4:56 p.m. on Wednesday**

Saint John fire crews have cleared a Hazmat call on Bayside Drive involving a chemical spill. No one was hurt.

The initial call came in at 10 a.m. on Wednesday about a leak that occurred at Al’s Trucking.

Fire officials say it involved a 1,000-litre acetic acid spill inside the business, located between Expansion Avenue and Mcilveen Drive.

They say Therapure will complete the clean-up process and remove the neutralized product.

Bayside Drive was closed to traffic for several hours.
