Tired and anxious that is how Liberal Dr. Ed Doherty is feeling waiting to hear whether or not he is the new MLA for Saint John Harbour.
40 votes separate Doherty and Conservative Carl Killen.
Dr. Doherty says the waiting is tough.
He tells us it’s stressful when you are waiting to hear what direction your life will take.
Incumbant Carl Killen is in pretty good spirits and we asked him if this felt a bit like a deja-vu.
In 2010, Killen beat Doherty by 7 votes.
He tells CHSJ News that it’s a complete different kind of experience in one sense because its purely electronic.
Killen says last time it a matter of having a recount and now they have to wait and see how it all figures out.
Killen is happy for his fellow Conservatives that won tonight and says he’ll just wait and see what happens with Saint John Harbour but his lawyer has advised him not to concede.
