An elderly woman was robbed of her purse on the west side. She came face to face with two men at the rear of the T-D Canada Trust bank on Main Street West. After a brief struggle, the pair took off with her purse which was later recovered on Ready Street. The woman suffered minor injuries to her hand in the scuffle.
A woman who was parked on Waterloo Street had her purse taken. She was talking on her cell phone at the time when a man came along, opened up the passenger side door of her car and then ran off with her purse which was on the seat beside her.
