Extreme Cold Warning In Place For Majority Of New Brunswick

Environment Canada has issued an extreme cold warning for the majority of New Brunswick, including Saint John and the Kennebecasis Valley.

The weather agency says that wind chills of between minus 30 and minus 36 are in the forecast today and again on Tuesday morning. This could continue into Wednesday for northern areas of New Brunswick.

Meantime, all of New Brunswick is under a special weather statement from Environment Canada warning of the development of a possible ‘significant weather system’ for this week.

It’s being forecasted that the system will bring ‘significant’ snow and blowing snow and the possibility of a extended period of high winds around Thursday to Friday. It’s too early at this point to have details regarding about when exactly the snow will fall and how much we’ll see.
